Torquay’s Saltwater close to the harbour, in Victoria Parade, has been named among the top 10 of UK Fish & Chip Shops, by the National Fish & Chip Awards.

The National Fish & Chip Awards recognise outstanding restaurants across the country that are serving incredible fish and chips and providing excellent customer service.

Saltwater in Torquay have gone above and beyond to secure their place in this stage of the competition.

Great fish and chips, offers freshly caught specials, changes daily as to what is available, can choose how you want it cooked, table service and staff excellent, special thanks to Andy who was a great host. Can recommend the Red Gurnard and the Hake both of which we had grilled, starters had one of the nicest Salt and Pepper squid I’ve tasted, local craft beers, a totally enjoyable evening, oh yeah you try the pickled fried onion rings…

Fantasic! We sat in the restaurant and had the most amazing fish & Chips ever. The sweet and spicy curry sauce is gorgeous! The guy who I believe is the manager is super friendly.

And to top it off Dogs are welcome to 6pm. It’s all been re-modernised since my last visit, and it’s to a very high standard. Will definitely be visiting again. Best fish and chips in the Bay!

Tested the new sit-down area that opened recently. Already love the takeaway menu so wanted to experience the wider eat in menu. A great conversion of the seating area. Stylish and comfortable.

Still amazing food, cooked to perfection. We had three different dishes, Falafel Burger, Chicken Burger, Haddock and Chips plus Curry Sauce, Bread & Butter. Friendly service and endless chips. Wine and Beer. Definitely going back very soon.

We were recommended to come here by a local. Lovely fish and chips. We had the ‘catch of the day ‘ – fresh Brixham plaice. Friendly and helpful staff. Table service. We were allowed to bring our dog inside as long as we had a table by the window.
